The Students Union Government, SUG President of University of Maiduguri, Faruq Muhammad Ahmad has called on the students of the institution who are in need medical attention should visit Venus Desk office as part of interventions to cushions the effects of strike action embarked by University workers.
In a statement signed by his Principal Private Secretary, Idris Saleh on Monday.
He said "Sequel to the Industrial action embarked recently by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and Non academic staff Union (NASU) which leads to the closure of school clinic.
I am directed to inform you that who ever need medical assistance should kindly refer himself to VenusCare Desk office at the UMTH A & E.
We regret any inconveniences this might have caused you, as we reiterate our commitment toward canvassing for your rights at all times''
