In his wisdoms the Almighty God created a first man and woman (Adams and Eve ) this signify that women are not suppose to be left behind in governing of dealings.

There are many traditional roles that society, cultures, traditions and beliefs assigned to our women. These roles vary from community or sometimes depend on educational status of the society.

Generally in all communities women have a reproductive role of giving birth and  nursing and caring of infants, toddlers and children, this role is one of the most difficult aspects of women’s life because of the duration of it  normally started with early signed and symptoms of pregnancy which includes nausea, fever, weakness and other minor ailments . Having passed through these , she will continue to take care of the pregnancy till nine months.....the labour issues and delivery complications will start coming in which if care is not taken the pregnant mother and her foetus may died due to poor management from the health personnel or inadequate of materials and equipment needed for safe and healthy delivery.

The house chores, in a typical Hausa family setting a woman, girls or lady wake up as early as 4:00 am to pray and starts daily activities ranging from sweeping her compound, do the bedding arrangements, cleaning of rooms, toilets and kitchen while doing this simultaneously she will boil a water and prepares a breakfast for the husband and other family members.

The other chores likes washing plates, fetching water and the remaining domestic activities will be carry out the women.

Despite these huge activities being assigned to a woman in her daily routines does not stop the responsible to engage in some minor petty trading at home selling items like spices, salts and other foods ingredients to the neighbours.

Its with that little income she is gaining , some lazy and irresponsible  husbands fold their arms looking at her shouldering responsibilities designed for men to take care of.

With all aforementioned above still women are being subjected to many physical, emotional and psychological gender based violence , we have the responsibility to correct the ugly trends in our society.
