The Nigerian Universities of Engineering Students Association, NUESA has called on general public and engineering students to contribute e-materials to the association as part of its effort to build its e-library.
This is contained in a statement signed Senior Special Assistant to NUESA President on Project Development/ New Media Comr. Muetera Kpolebabari issuedt Sunday, September 10.
"The National President of NUESA, Comr Ahmed Yusuf seizes this esteemed opportunity to call for academic materials to be supplied to the NUESA [National] online library. The library, is in lieu to the need to develop the engineering knowledge of our amiable NUESAites''.
He frowned on inadequate of engineering materials to students which hindered the progress of engineering profession in the country .
"This is because, in the quest for developing engineering, the NUESA National President through his SSA on Project Development discovered lack of engineering knowledge and non-accessibility of engineering materials as part of the reasons for the decline in engineering progression''.
Yusuf encouraged students all over country contribute their building the library by uploading textbooks,projects and technical papers.
"Due to his dedication to service, and quest for growth, the online library has been set up. Engineering students round Nigeria are therefore encouraged to upload textbooks, project works, and technical papers which can serve the function of an engineering library where other NUESAites can visit to scoop knowledge from"
NUESAites are advised to upload their submissions via http://nuesa.org.ng/library/library-contribution.php" he added.
The NUESA National President has assured all engineering students round the country of his commitment to grooming quality engineers, and called for all hands to be on deck to actualise the vision.
