Remember when Igbos always took to all social networks bashing the North and calling Hausa illiterates and all sort of names?..
But with the recent video circulating in same medium showing same Igbos hunting 'Hawusa' like rats to kill in the open streets of Abia state, who are now the illiterates?
Perception and self-deception. This is where the fundamental problem lies....
If the Igbos acclaimed education is anything to go bye, then why is this barbaric behavior still on show with pride in their region?
To cut it short, they already demonstrated their lack of intellectual depth by even agreeing with the Nnamdi Kanu's bogus and ruckus movement. No region with agree to such ideals, not Hausa nor the Yoruba. This is a fact! Because we have seen it. We witnessed how the Yorubas turned against the Oodua People's Congress (OPC) when they declared the Southwest a republic. Obasanjo then as the President (also a Yoruba man) ordered the arrest of their leader.
Also, recently, we have seen how the current President Buhari (though controversially) dealt with the Zakzakky, (also his fellow Hausa-Fulani man) when his sect declared themselves a state.
But what do we hear now from the South East other than their Political leaders keeping mum and failing to publicly condemn Kanu's madness while others like Oby Ezekwisili even go by playing the tribal and ethnic cards on issue as sensitive as this?!
My advice to my fellow Northern Youths.
Let us stick together in this trying and daring times! None of us should retaliate to what's happening in the East, let us show the world who the illiterates are! Let's continue to see them as our BROTHERS for the sake of National interest and Peace!
