Bauchi State Government has commenced the distribution of 25 thousands treated bed nets in the state.
The Long lasting Mosquito Nets are being distributed to 219 Public Health facilities for routine distribution to women and children.
The State Government on its Facebook handle says
"On Tuesday 8th August 2017 the Bauchi State Government through BACATMA with support from US President's Malaria Initiative (PMI) and the USAID - US Agency for International Development has commenced 2017 Round II distribution of 25,650 pieces (513 bales) of Long Lasting Insecticide-treated Mosquito Nets (LLINS) to 210 Primary and Secondary Health Facilities across 20 LGAs of the State"
The Mosquito Nets are to be Routinely distributed on continuous basis free of charge to Infants that have completed their Penta-3 Immunization and Pregnant Mothers during Antenatal booking.
